AI providers and plans
IceFold runs every AI step on platform-managed models. There are no provider accounts to connect and no API keys to paste — the platform holds the credentials, routes each call, and meters what you use in credits. There is nothing to configure to start generating.
How billing works
Credits pay for the compute-heavy work — AI generation and transcription, and final video rendering. The editing in between — trimming, subtitling, swapping audio — is free. Everything runs on one currency: credits, and IceFold handles provider routing, model bills, compute and orchestration.
- Free starts you with a one-time grant of 1,000 welcome credits.
- Pro adds 10,000 credits every month — enough to keep creating.
- Teams share a pooled credit allowance across seats; the owner pays for the seat subscription and every team credit pack.
Running low before your next refill? Top up any time from Settings → Billing — purchased credit packs stay valid for 1 year from purchase.
Choosing a model
You don't wire up providers, but you can still steer which model runs a given Step. Every AI-driven Step starts with outcome-based recommendations such as Good Enough and Great Quality, described by what changes in the result. Specific model names remain available in the searchable advanced list. The choice is persisted per Step; leave it untouched, or choose Use platform default, and the Step follows the platform default for its medium. IceFold chooses the fulfilment provider for that model and can fail over between compatible routes.
